Rainwater Harvesting in Richmond Town — BWSSB Compliance
Richmond Town's premium residential character and proximity to Ulsoor Lake makes RWH compliance both mandatory and environmentally significant. BWSSB enforces strictly in this zone.
Why Richmond Town Properties Need Rainwater Harvesting
Richmond Town has seen massive residential development in recent years, with thousands of new homes, apartments, and villas. BWSSB has been actively issuing notices to properties in Richmond Town that don't have rainwater harvesting systems installed. The mandate applies to all sites ≥1,200 sq ft for new buildings and ≥2,400 sq ft for older properties.
With Bangalore's ongoing water scarcity, an RWH system in Richmond Town pays for itself twice over: compliance with BWSSB, and a real cut in your water-tanker bills.
